By Eden McNab

When someone told me the four seasons; Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring, I was surprised because I forgot that there was even a Spring season around the corner! With having such an extended winter, and so many snow days, we haven't been able to showcase all of the amazing styles and pieces that are essential to your wardrobe! Now that it is getting sunnier, will all have the opportunity to look our best!

Jean Jackets
Jean jackets are a great piece to keep in your closet! You can keep yourself warm and look great even in this transitional weather. They are great for layering, especially for when there are cooler mornings and warmer afternoons. Whether the jean jackets cropped, fitted or even oversized, all can be styled and look great for Spring!

Windbreakers

Windbreakers are essential for this transition from Winter to Spring, because since they are such a light and thin jacket, they can keep you warm and are great for layering as well. Having them fitted or oversized can keep you comfortable, while still looking great. Lighter jackets are a great piece to have in your closet when in the transition weather and also to have for those colder spring nights.

Tennis Shoes
Vans, Converse, Toms, oh my! All different types of tennis shoes are a essential piece to keep in your closet for Spring because they are light shoes, you’re able to do recreational activities in or even if you are just relaxing, they can do justice for that too! I know it's sad to be putting away your Timberlands for the winter but now we are able to wear lighter shoes, which take less than half the time to put on, while still being able to go all around the world, in style this spring!

Dresses, Rompers & Jumpsuits
Dresses are great for spring and summer as they are easy to put on and comfortable! Rompers are great too, if you'd rather have a short type of style. As well as jumpsuits, which are longer but still airy and comfortable for spring! These pieces are great for a quick and easy outfit, as you can just throw it on and be done; instead of trying to match a top and a bottom, spending 15 minutes on a outfit in the morning, you can just throw a romper, jumpsuit or dress on and there you go! There are various different styles and patterns all of which will get you in a great spring and summer mood, looking cute!

All in all,  now that we are approaching exam season and finishing up all of our classes for the semester, these are some great quick, and easy outfit pieces or ideas that are comfortable and appropriate for school! We hope you can incorporate these into your wardrobe more often! Enjoy the great weather Gaels!

Hey Gaels! Are you looking for any fashion inspiration during these cold months? Well you came to the right place. I'm sure you would just love to wear sweatpants everyday, but thanks to these Gaels, there's no need to! You can look great without the hassle of spending an hour putting together an outfit in the morning; or night before. There are a few fashion tips and tricks we are here to give you to spice up your outfits before spring comes around.

Jeans galore!
It's unfortunate that in the winter, we are not able to wear dresses, shorts or even skirts, but we are able to wear jeans! Jeans are a great basic piece to have in your closet that can go with almost every outfit! Ripped jeans are great as well as they show a more casual side to an outfit and can be rocked by men and women. They are great for days that are a bit warmer, and they can add a lot of detail to a otherwise, simple outfit. A good-fitting pair of ripped jeans is a must have to everyone, especially students at Cameron Heights.

Belts, belts, and more belts!

If you're feeling a little plain with you outfit, add a belt! Belts are a great way to accentuate your figure, they look great with skinny jeans, or boyfriend jeans and add a lot more detail to your outfit with this simple, yet very trendy piece! It can make your outfit more professional, if you're going for that business vibe, or even spice up a casual outfit to look even cuter.

Beanies!

Having a bad hair day? No problem! Just want to spruce up your outfit? We got you … wear a hat! A big trend this winter has been beanies! It is a great way to stay warm and look stylish all day. (Just don't forget to take it off during Oh Canada!) It's a great way to add more colour, or to keep in the same colour scheme your outfit already has. Whether your beanie has a popular logo, sports team or just plain, no matter what, it will make you appear as if you can't get enough of this great winter season!

Oversized sweaters!
If you want to look cute but still be comfy, wear a oversized sweater! They're cute and casual which is the perfect duo for school! You could either tie the drawstrings into a bow, or roll up the sleeves so it is more fitted, and to add some detail. Like our girl in the photo over here, she rocked a plain red sweater which looks great with white jeans! Wearing a solid colour is a great way to add some colour into your wardrobe, especially to wear the plain colour with a simple jean! A great look for teens!

Back to basics!
The best way to stay in style and still feel comfortable and able to move around is wearing leggings! You can say leggings are girls best friend. Running late? Throw on a pair. Can't decide which bottoms matches the top best? Stick to the leggings! They are the easiest and cutest especially black leggings. You can top them with anything, you can turn it into a lazy day outfit, a cute top with leggings or even turn the volume up with a fancier top and some cute flats.

November 2, 2018 was the first ever Art Exchange at Cameron Heights Collegiate and it turned out to be a great success! The Art Exchange is an activity which was created and is hosted by Art Council at CHCI. Students are able to exchange their thoughts and perspectives on works of art created by fellow students at Cameron. Students have the opportunity to appreciate said art over some tea and cookies. Very artsy!
The purpose of the Art Exchange is to get involved with the school, the events that take place and to enjoy your time and the art presented! It is a relaxing way to unwind and appreciate the beauty in it as well. The Art Exchange is referred to as “a one of a kind antique type of experience” which portrays the event gracefully.
This event impacts the school and its environment in various ways, including;  anyone can join regardless of their grade, age, gender, race etc. All that is required is a passion and appreciation for art and writing and an open mind. People of such interests have the opportunity to come and enjoy it all together! Everyone was welcomed and encouraged to come out for a great time!
For now, the event is finished and no longer taking place, and so far, has been a first time event at the school but with such success there hopefully will be another one  taking place in the next years to come!
Students who have a passion for art and writing should join other art-related activities such as Art Council itself, the Creative Writing Club, The Globe and Gael,  etc! Everyone is welcome to participate and we hope to see you at the next Art Exchange!
